Originally from Morgantown, West Virginia, Charlie Hartley is a proud graduate of West Virginia University and an avid Mountaineer fan. In 2013, he embarked on a new journey in his life by relocating to sunny Florida, where he teamed up with his lifelong friend, Rob Pailes, to establish Sanibel Vacations, a prominent vacation property management firm. Seeing the happiness and joy that being on Sanibel and Captiva brought his vacation rental guests ignited his passion for helping others to find their own piece of paradise, and in 2015, he sought out to do just that, and became a licensed Realtor. Charlie is a member of the Sanibel and Captiva Association of Realtors, the Royal Palm Coast Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors. Prior to his life changing move to Florida, Charlie held many positions within the construction industry. His 25 plus years of construction experience provide him a unique perspective and an invaluable skillset within the real estate field. He can help clients to identify the potential of a property, assess its condition, and consult on potential renovations or remodeling projects. His deep understanding and expertise in the areas of construction, vacation rentals, property management and real estate allow him to spot potential issues and opportunities that others may overlook, ensuring that his clients are well-informed throughout the buying or selling process

Charlie enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three children. His wife Jaclyn, is a Speech – Language Pathologist and the president of the Fort Myers Chapter of the West Virginia University Alumni Association, a 501(c)3 non profit organization. Their oldest child, Brady received his Associates of Arts degree from Florida Southwestern State College in 2022. Max is a freshman at Fairmont State University in West Virginia, where he is a member of the tennis team. Their youngest, Hailey is a sophomore in high school, where she stays very active as a member of the Center for the Arts in theater, cheerleader, lacrosse player, student government officer, and officer for the Be A Buddy program, all while maintaining excellent grades. Together, the Hartley family loves to travel, paddle board, go boating and, of course, cheer on the Mountaineers.
